A stilt station on an endless sea
Palafita (Portuguese for a house on stilts) is a cozy life sim at sea. You start with a little deck, a tent and a raft. Sail out, bring home what the sea gives you, and turn a few planks into a place that is yours.
Planks, rope and bigger things drift on the currents. Rope is your tow line and what holds your home together.
Lay deck, raise an upper floor, set out planters, a stove, a loom and salt pans. Keep the stilts mended.
Nobody tells you the recipes. Try things at the stove and the cookbook fills itself in.
People drift by on logs. Give them a bed and they tend the station, each with a trade, a story and a favourite dish.
Every fish, find, moon and moment goes in a keepsake book. Some you'll only see once in a while.
Everyone shares one sea. Spot neighbours' flags and lanterns, step aboard, sign their guest book, throw bottles to strangers.
No combat. No dying. Run dry at sea and you wash up on your own deck at dawn.
